We have a lot of exciting events planned for our youth over the summer, but we need help! Below is a list of events with descriptions of what would be required of you during the event. Please consider signing up for one or more of these awesome events. Your involvement will help impact a youth’s life this summer. You can sign up using the form found below. Thank you!
June 15th: Youth Summer Launch
-3PM to 8PM @ Claude Moore park pavilion 1.
“This will be our Summer launch to kick off a summer full of events! For this, we need our volunteers to have energy and interact with the students as well as help make sure the games and other activities run smoothly. This will also include helping set up and tear down.”
June 23rd: King’s Fest / King’s Dominion
-All day trip
“King’s Fest is a Christian Concert that happens at King’s Dominion. The ticket’s include admission to the park all day as well as admission to the concert which will start later in the day. This is an all-day trip, we will leave early to get to the park when it opens and get back later after the concert. We will need your help in keeping the students safe but also making sure they have fun!”
June 29th: Movie Night
-5PM until after the movie is over
“This is a very easy event. We will be playing a movie (TBD) and have popcorn and other snacks. This will happen at the Sterling location. Weather permitting, it will happen outside. We will need your help with serving snacks and set up / tear down.”
July 6th: Busch Gardens
-All day
“This trip will be all day. We will leave from the Sterling location early and spend all day at the park. We will need your help building relationships with the students and having fun!
July 20-21: Lock-In
-7PM Friday to 8AM on Saturday.
“This will happen at the Sterling Location. This will be an awesome event with lots of fun and games! We would need your help in executing all of the activities we have planned for the night!
July 30th: VA Beach
-All day
“This will be a simple trip to the beach. Walking on the boardwalk, swimming, getting a tan. We will need a few volunteers who are interested in a day trip to the beach to help look after the students.”
August 10-11: 30 Hour Famine
-12PM on Friday to 6PM on Saturday. (The fast starts at 12PM on Friday but we will meet at the Sterling Location later in the day to begin activities)
“This is an amazing event centered around raising funds and awareness for famine around the world. It will be very impactful. We will fast for 30 hours while doing different activities and service projects with devotions and worship. We will need volunteer help with all the activities that will be planned for the weekend.”
